For sale here is our wooden holiday cottage which we have practically lived in these past Six years aside from during the winter months, when the site were on closes apart from weekends and the festive season holidays. During these years this cottage has provided us with very comfortable and affordable accommodations, in a beautiful and peaceful, naturally atmospheric environment. We were attracted to purchase the cottage in 2007 by its being close to our current work in Newcastle, an easy 20 minute commute, but at the same time offering the tranquil pleasures of the countryside with its Tyne valley riverbank location near the village of Ovington in Northumberland. Weve since found the farming family whove owned and managed the site its on for several generations to be sympathetic, unobtrusive and committed to maintaining the good quality of the site and basic services for an extremely reasonable annual site fee.
Primarily we loved our chalets detached location on a plot which allows private seclusion through mature garden areas to all four sides of the chalet. Whilst the basic structure was and is very sound we decided to totally strip the interior back to its shell and remodel and renovate the entire chalet according to our own standards and tastes.
